Fried snapping turtle ranks 1 of the top 5 meats I've EVER tasted! I go to 2-3 wild game cookouts a year, and always look for fried snapping turtle. I look for snapping turtle every chance I get, and have caught a few when noodling for catfish. OMG you owe it to yourself to try deboned fried snapping turtle.

I've had turtle (I assumed sea turtle) but it may have been something else. Snappers sound like something you could farm easy enough. I remember seeing them when I was a kid but never thought they were edible.
What do they eat? Fish or plants or?

I've had it before as well. Very delicious meat and cooked with spices too, that really brought out the flavor. I also had it in chili too.
