hey i think i will start the first off road thread. ;D i wana talk about the best off road trucks out there. Now when i say truck i want you to get the true trucks out off your head "F-150 Silverado RAM". What you need to start a Off Road truck only is a old cheap SUV style truck. Example Bronco scout and my fav Raider. Resson why we dont want a bed in any off road truck it will get stuck. you also wana take out any thing you don't need Radio and carpit are the big ones.
Why take out the radio well it and its speakers are dead wait and if your realy using this just for off roading you don't need it your going to be haveing fun off roading. If you truly are going off roading your going to get water in the inside of the card thats why you might as well take the carpit out and put some kinda plastic in there if you have a scout most scouts already have this done.
Finaly when going off roading make sure you have some things you might need. A cell phone in case you get stuck blankit water spare tire. thats all you need buy a off road truck and have fun ;D ;D ;D ;D

I feel the same way. I've seen a lot of the so called clunkers that I wouldn't mind having myself. It's a sad day when our govt gets involved in private sectors and we as taxpayers have to foot the bill for it.

I'd give my left ... for a good 4x4 pickup truck, gas or diesel! I prefer a stick shift and manual hubs, and NOT a Chevy. Had too much bad luck with GM products in the past. So long as I can still jam gears and twist hubs, I'll do it.
Food for thought.... Lock the hubs BEFORE you get in the slop and mess! What I'd love to find is an old Military Jeep. Like an MB-38 or so. MB means Military Body, CJ means Civilian Jeep, or an old CJ-7 set up as stated above, hard top for security reasons and 3 or 4 speed with manual hubs. 6 cylinder Inline or V would be the optimum I'd need in a truck or Jeep, no need for a V-8.
