What's everybody's favorite revolver? I love the old pythons but my favorite revolvers are all Ruger. Double action favorite design is Redhawk and single actions such as Blackhawk & Super Blackhawks trips my trigger.

Pretty much all the Ruger S.A.'s. including the Vaquero, Original Peacemakers, and OLD Smith & Wesson.

Agreed, the old single actions are great. My .44 isn't a Ruger Super Blackhawk but it looks very simular. It's a Virginian Dragoon, made in Alexandria Virginia in the late 70s and early 80s. It's beautiful with a color case hardened frame, blued cylinder and 8-3/8" barrel, and walnut grips. It locks up nice and tight and is really accurate. I mostly use moderate handloads for paper punching, but do shoot near max JHP for hunting loads. Big bada-BOOM.
The only other wheelgun I have is a Smith model 1917 (No Travis, not a P-17) that shoots .45 ACP on full moon clips. I'd much prefer my 1911 for that round but it is a interesting piece and fun to break out on occasion.

Ladies and Gents. The P-17 is an inside thing with Jeff and myself, but it still is hilarious! ;D

I just won a club match with my 629 S&W 44. At least if I get a dead round all I have to do is pull the trigger again. Can't do that with an automatic.

I have a Super Blackhawk in .44mag as well and it shoots SWEET! There's several things you can do to make them even sweeter.

The last time I bought .44 Magnum ammo was about a year or so ago. I bought the Winchester White Box USA 240 gr. S.J.S.P. and I paid around $30.00 for 50 rounds. These prices are out of control. I blame the corrupt politicians we have for this mess.

It sounds like you stole that revolver! It's already had an trigger job done and has been "magnaported". That's 200$ worth of modifications right there. this super blackhawk seems to have a light trigger pull and its got two cuts in the bbl one on each side of the front sight seem to help alot with recoil cant wait to pick up some dies so i can reload for this one i could only aford 1 box of ammo when i got the gun lol its getting crazy 42 bucks for a box of 50 240gr bullets
